What the calculators are
The calculators are estimation tools that apply published formulas to the inputs you provide. They are provided for information and planning support. They are not professional engineering, financial, legal or safety advice, and they are not a substitute for measurement, engineering judgement or your own process data.
Accuracy and fitness for purpose
Considerable care is taken to implement each formula correctly and every worked example is checked. Even so, the site is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. Results depend entirely on the accuracy of your inputs and on whether the assumptions listed on each page match your situation.
Do not rely on a result from this site as the sole basis for a commercial commitment, a capital decision, a safety-related determination or a regulatory submission. Verify against measured data first.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PlantCalc is not liable for any loss or damage — direct, indirect, incidental or consequential — arising from use of, or inability to use, this site or its results. This includes lost production, lost profit and business interruption.
Acceptable use
You may use the calculators freely for personal and commercial purposes. You may not:

The underlying formulas are standard published industrial engineering results and are not claimed as original. The written explanations, examples and page design are the property of PlantCalc.
