Privacy policy

The short version

PlantCalc does not have user accounts, does not ask for personal information, and does not transmit or store the numbers you type into a calculator. The values stay in your browser tab. The only third-party data collection on this site comes from advertising and analytics cookies, described below.

Calculator inputs

All calculations run as JavaScript in your browser. Inputs are never sent to a server, never logged and never stored in cookies or local storage. Closing the tab discards them.

Server logs

The site is served by a content delivery network, which processes standard request data — IP address, requested URL, user agent, timestamp — in order to deliver pages and protect against abuse. This data is aggregated and is not used to identify individual visitors.

Cookies and advertising

This site is supported by advertising. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.

• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
• You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
• You can also opt out of third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info.

Where required by law, a consent message is shown before advertising cookies are set, and you can change or withdraw your choice at any time through that message. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked for consent explicitly; declining it does not restrict access to any calculator.

Analytics

Aggregate analytics may be used to understand which pages are useful and which need work. Where analytics are enabled they record page views, referrers, approximate location and device type. They do not record the values entered into a calculator.

Children

This site is aimed at working professionals and is not directed at children under 13. No personal information is knowingly collected from children.

Your rights

Because this site does not hold personal data, there is nothing to export or delete on request. For data held by advertising or analytics providers, use the opt-out links above or contact those providers directly.

Changes

If this policy changes materially — for example if a newsletter or account feature is added — the date at the top of this page will change and the change will be described here.
